VNC does *exactly* what I want. If I get the urge to actually migrate to Linux and write programs there, I can do it via VNC with only minimal connection to Windows via TCP/IP and a network. I don't need an interpreter (or whatever Cygwin is), I am actually running native Linux. The whole Windows VNC package, hooks DLL and all is only 400K. You can connect to your Linux box over the net. VNC really works well, and Gnome has solved the complaints I had about KDE, which sux. I'm rapt.
