Hmmm.
Truthfully it never occurred to me to question the compression. I think
I'll have a chat with the guy who made the code for making the recordings
and see what he thinks. Maybe there IS something in the documentation as
to how to compress it further, maybe it was even discussed and decided
against for some reason that I don't know about...
Um, the TJ folks use this also and their calls (well, the ones they're
recording, anyway) actually go through our switch... we are in the process
of putting in a DS-3 instead of our existing T-1's, no idea if this has any
effect on anything.
