-> TW> Enforcing Suggested List Prices is NOT against the Law. And
-> TW> most business try it.
-> I believe it falls within the definition of price fixing
-> myself. Price fixing _is_ against the law unless our moron
-> President has declared that law null and void.
Better chack your dictionary Again. Price Fixing is when you in
Collusion with other manfacturers of an Equilivnet Product get together
and set the Price jointly. In that case You have NO choice but to pay
that prive for that product or equilivent product. In the Case of Sony
you are Free to buy any number of other Cheaper Equilivent products.
Apple is another example. They had a rigid policy of only selling at
the "Factory Recommended Price" or Loose yuor Dealership agreement to
sell their products.
-> TW> And in the Case of Sony Electronics you HAVE A CHOICE. You
-> TW> are NOT froced to buy becasue there is No alternatiave I
-> TW> still don't understand you can concider SONY as Dominating
-> TW> the market.
-> SONY is working in that direction. Microsoft didn't
-> _immediately_ enjoy a dominant position either, it takes time
-> but SONY is certainly trying to.
I hardly see that happening with Electronic Products. There are just
too many manfacturers in the Field.
-> TW> And Willingly and Freely paid a Premimum for the Sony's.
-> TW> THAT is the Amercian Way and I love it!!
-> When SONY demands their _higher_ price you love it but when
-> unions demand _their_ price for labor you hate it. Seems a bit
-> perverse to me.
That opinion is Perverse to me. In the case of the Union Goons Forcing
prices up to meet their Unreasonable Demands I am FORCED to pay Higher
Prices as a result of their Intimidation and Blackmail of businesses.
In the Case of Sony It is "MY FREE WILL CHOICE" to pay more.
