Sounds like a plan.  I've been doing backups here lately but to different
drives.  I gave up on CDs ages ago.  Too unreliable.

For sure.  I've been looking at bridges/tunnels/etc wrt ppp lately and will
have to create a phoney ppp connection to test some of it out.  Looks like
some fun to be had there.
