I may be wrong about the BOATANCHORS echo in Fidonet. I looked through
the listings I received from my 1995 host and didn't find it there.

In that case, the echo may have been in the HamNet (12:20/...) or the
AR-Net (1:2619/...) which I joined in 1995. The feed from Ar-Net came
through 12:20/138 IIRC.

12:20/138 however made harakiri in oct. 1996 when the sysop pulled the
plugs of all equipment without informing his downlinks. The HamNet did
however continue but it became too expensive for me to make long dist.
phone calls to Switzerland, so I quit it.

In my BBS I do however still have 'historic' files from that era, .

Have a nice day,

Holger
