I wonder if you are actually mounting your Linux drive? Linux only mounts the drives it uses. If you have a dead drive (my Windows drives), it remains unmounted and you don't see it in Network Neighborhood. Just change the entries in the /etc/fstab file to "auto" instead of "noauto", and Linux will mount them for you when it boots. > Sounds like that "browse" setting.... RG> Wish it were. It can get quite annoying at times. As I've said RG> though, with the mapped drives, and the shortcuts, I can always RG> access the shared drives, even if they DON'T show up in Network RG> neibourhood, so it only really ever become a real issue if/when RG> I add/remove drives, which causes the mappings to fail (due to RG> the way Windoze re-assigns drive letters), but this is a rare RG> occurance also. I bet the drives aren't mounted. When you map them, Linux mounts them. Have a look in the /etc/fstab file and see if you have "noauto" in the field. If so, change it to "auto" and lo! they'll always be mounted. I like the idea of "mounting" drives. I get this picture of a stallion, rooting like crazy!
