But seriously, there have been some recent, rather high tech advances on 
the anti-sniper front involving both sound and radar technologies. The 
sonic system is up and running in a bad neighborhood somewhere in Texas I 
think. The radar involves a couple of small dishes, a whole van load of 
computer equipment ,and enough technical know how to staff a Silicon Valley 
start up. This last system does not seem to be ready for prime time yet.
