The work on some people.
I used the Feingold diet on my son who was ADHD, and it worked very well.
In fact, it worked better than some of the meds I tried.
It is extremely difficult to follow the Feingold diet, but when I was able to
do so, his behavior as more "normal", and he was able to concentrate on his
surroundings.
When he "slipped", and ate something he wasn't supposed to, his behavior
regressed to his ADHD style.
Part of the difficulty in sticking to the diet with him was that by the time
I found it, his eating habits were almost set in stone and it was near
impossible to get him to eat some of the foods he was allowed and not eat
what he wasn't allowed.
But, obviously, diets did not work for your needs.
As they always say: "Your Mileage May Vary."
