Hello Alex!

18 May 04 14:53, you wrote to me:

Very key distinction you make there.

Its how the coordinator structure in Zone 2 has chosen to interpret policy,
that interpretation is not universal.

and Wards new voting Formula remedies what?

With Wards new formula, every possible decision that the ZCC could make,
would be solely up to Ward.

The PC over-ruling presented no harm to the network, in the end, the
complainant had no reason to be contacting Witt, there was no technical
reason.

Its just Fidonets version of the UN or an appeals court, think of it as 6
wise men sitting on the tribal council.(metaphor)

and what has the ZCC had to decide on that has had such vast effects on the
network, lessee they put and end to a Policy Complaint that was between
just TWO sysops. Afyterwards people were running around thinking that it
sets a deadly precedent, for which I have not seen and Michiel seems to be
doing an admirable job now of ignoring Roy Witt, something he should of
done from the get go.

So lets go over what I know the ZCC has had to contend with since the year 2000..

Obviously skipping his election as IC then..

A.

They had a brief discussion with Ward, over the Steven Leeman incident, no
official vote..

This was when Ward as the Z2C threatened to take Steven out of the nodelist
for having registered the internet domain name "fidonet.be".

B.

The Michiel Van Der Vlist versus Roy Witt Policy Complaint.

C.

This latest vote regarding the IC thing..

Hmmm. Alex, this doesnt look like a very busy ZCC too me, 3 issues in
almost 4 years, only 2 of those 3 resulted in a official vote?

Can you explain to me how the ZCC is killing Fidonet?
