Hi, Ross! 17 May 04 18:50, Ross Cassell said to Alex Shakhaylo: RC>>> He is your problem, deal with it. AS>> He is not a problem at all. The problem is ZCC's attitude. It is AS>> not international, it is even not pro sysops, it is merely AS>> anti-Ward. RC> Do you think it doesnt have it roots in the recent overturning of a RC> ruling Ward as IC made in a PC? Passwording out a link without a previouse agreement ever regarded XAB here. Explanaition is quite simple and transparent. Ability to prevent a connect to your system turns ZMH to a piece of crap. Turning ZMH to a piece of crap kills a fidonet spirit, turns it to a Pvt network, while it ever was public. Last overruling is a revolt, it has nothing in common with FidoNet and with Policy. It's something riduculous, politically based and I will not be surprised in case Fidonet will ignore such ZCC and it rulings. AS>> I'm afraid some unexpected changes may come soon as a result AS>> of ZCC's unreasoned action. It is very easy to break, but it is AS>> very hard to build up. And every stick is a double-adged thing, AS>> you know :-/ RC> and as the saying goes, RC> power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, by endowing RC> Ward with absolute power, accomplishes what? We've got in an exclusive cycle, and I'm afraid it happened long ago. Yes, I'm against one-person ZCC, but I'm also against ZCC whoes deci- sions kill the network. The only way I see to proceed is to ignore it. ZCC logic must be changed. If we think it's a superior body, then its content has to be propotional. One person with 90% of votes is a bad idea, but several persons from a zone which represent 90% of sysops seems good to me. It cannot serve as a superior body until this disbalance adjusted. Think out the idea of including at least R50C and R46C (the largrest regions in the network) into this body. Until that ZCC is void.
