 Ahh... so you *are* in control of life, the Universe and all that.
Most people don't think of retirement until their late 50's, by which
time it is far too late to do anything about it.

 My advice is to retire as early as possible, but set yourself up
with a nice little earner part-time, in which you can dabble until
you lose interest or die, and make a little money on the side.
