Agreed!  The Sony - BMG deal suprises me a bit though, as I actually
thought BMG had more bucks than Sony did (in the music part of it).  Most
likely mutual though, as I suspect both Sony and BMG thought they had
markets for some artists and labels under contract to the other company.

I know of one former New Orleans game programming company that was formed
for the SOLE purpose of attracting Microsoft's attention and subesquently
hoping to get 'bought out'.  It worked, and they did, all employees,
assets, liabilities, etc. moved to Redmond, lock, stock and barrel.  16
years they've been there and are MUCH better off than sitting down here
writing games!   :-)
