so far you've proven that you can change the attributes of a ordinary
directory
mount something dos, or windows-like in there. (even a floppy, or image-file
will do) and look at the ownwership and permissions on the files.
DTW: for that last command "ls -ld windows" would suffice.
but what I (and bob) want to do is change the permissions on the
contents of the mounted volume.
