i bought a cheap Koss 6.00 dollar plastic dynamic
600 ohm microphone for six bucks per my SoundBlaster
manuals recommendation of 600 ohm impedance mike.
Still works fine a decade later except the on - off switch
doesn't isolate any more but merely attenuates a bit.
I've used condenser mikes as well with the SB16
card of the three legged variety externally powered by battery
and isolated with a cap on the tip lead.
