JR> I've been running TM 4.20 for a while now and lately have noticed

TM.VM (also TM.SWP) are virtual memory swap files created by Telemate.
hen
it runs out of real RAM memory, it falls back on disk and uses that instead.
If Telemate does not exit normally (system crash, power failure, etc), then
these files will not be deleted as they normally would be. Just exit
elemate
all the way (via [Alt-X]) and delete them.
BTW, Check your options in TMINST.EXE -> Memory. You may not be using your
computer's memory to its full advantage. On most computers these days,
Telemate won't need to create swap files. :)
... On the other hand, you also have five fingers.
