Probably impossible to detail all the things I have tried, :-) but I
am connected to the cable modem directly. All is fine using windows or
linux, but OS/2 just doesn't seem to be liking the DHCP setup..... I
even stuck in a blank hard drive, and installed OS/2 from scratch
(amazingly, onto an 80G drive with no problems ) to be sure and get
a clean setup. It found the Intel NIC, and I attached TCPIP, telling
it to use DHCP from the server, but upon bootup, no connection.
I checked the LAN0 enable in the settings book, and as I said,
I tried all kinds of settings, tweaks, and swags after that, but it
just doesn't pick up the network. I even tried assigning my IP address
manually, along with the other server info, and that made no difference.
I guess I need to spend more time searching the web pages to find
which step it is that I am missing. I suspect that more time and
effort will get me where I want to be, since I know it works, and lots
of folks are getting along fine
Thanks a lot,
John
