 I don't think thee is really anything that can help much. Teh biggest
problem is getting the lubricant to penetrate the entire length of the
cable. 
But unless you are backing the Truck into Salt Water to launch a boat or
doing lits of Winter driving in hte areas ofwhere they use Saly o nthe
Roads the cables should last a Very Long time with no attention.
