HI Cindy,
Good to hear from you in ALabama.. i am new to this and am learning
every day.. Quakers are real sweet birds and were listed in Bird Talk
magazine as one of the top 10 talking parrots..as for the words that he
says that you do not want him to say.. not real sure if you can get him
to stop but they do have short memories unlike the African Grays.. i
think if this word is not spoken around him and you entertain him with
other words he will in time forget the unwanted ones
Watch how much cheese grits you give them... it can cause Problems in
there digestive system if eaten to much... i Keep my quakers on a
stricked diet since they are Breeders.. but i feed my Pet Blue Crown
Conure Pretzles and such once in a wile.. his name is Chico.. and loves
to talk... he is real Bright for a conure and has a large vocabulary..
he is still rather mean but i have came a long way with him in a very
short time..... still tring to tame my Rainbow lory as well..
are birds have really grown around here.. we now have 2 pair of
Cockateils, pair of lovebirds sitting on eggs a pair of Blue Crown
Conures a pair of Quakers and of course our pets.. Chico,Rio and we are
getting a 8 week old hand fed cockateil Wed.. i am excited...talk to you
later... Write back!!
Rick Frey
