Today I deked onto the shoreline with my scavenging
bag and collected thirteen pieces of coloured glass
for my stained-glass window project and a bag full of
weed. Plus a miniature vodka bottle.
The gardening instructor told us that lakeshore weed was
good, rich in all sorts of wonderful chemicals, so I'm
augmenting the worms diet with some seafood, so to speak.
Actually, the balcony is coming into bloom. I have a
second commercial composter set up waiting for the
last frost to go, and have two ice-cream buckets ready
to grow peas up a trellis between the two bedroom's
windows.
As well there will be an ice-cream bucket each for
sand, weed, vermiculite, pebbles and so on. proper
little building centre, I am!
The vodka bottle has been rinsed out and will, when
dry, house another herb. I buy the big packets, and
decant them into reasonable containers for daily use.
