Most of the monster cables, I feel, suffer from excessive capacitance.
Especially the earlier ones, which were probably being used in the test you
mention. I'm guessing they were pretty long cables. Considering that you are
in the pro arena, and the demo was in probably in a pro context, then they
were probably pretty long. Monster cables aren't really designed to run more
than a few metres.
