Then I'm the exception. My dad was too busy trying to feed a family as
a share cropper to send me to college... he didn't pay a nickel of it,
but did keep a roof over my head while I went to school. (BTW, I didn't
have a scholarship or a grant either). Also, I've never been unemployed
since I quit picking cotton at the age of 18.... now nearly forty years
ago.
And I believe in personal responsibility. Yeah... I might ever PREACH
it from time to time.
And I believe that you are wrong. There is no correlation between how
your education is funded and your philosophy of personal responsibility.
And I DON'T find that those that continue to draw off their parents are
the ones talking personal responsibility. They are the likes of you who
spout personal "freedom" while sucking from the public trough and
bitching because someone else has a better life style, regardless of how
hard they might have worked to achieve whatever success they enjoy.
Now come on and tell us all again how classist our society is and how it
isn't fair that some are poor while some are rich presumably because you
are poor and don't want to put out the effort to get rich.
