These settings DD> include the port speed (there it is at the top left of the list). DD> AT&V (what sort of a command is that?) will list the NVRAM settings in the DD> M34F - there is no sign of any stored port setting to be reset by ATZ . . Pity that what counts is what happens if you cycle the power on the modem, send NOTHING to the modem at all, and see what speed the RING is produced at with an incoming call.
