NP> I move now to Linux (pronounced Linnicks).

NP> Linnicks is *not* the correct pronunciation. It is simply the
NP> Yank pronunciation and like a lot of stuff the Yanks get it
NP> wrong.

NP> There used to be a Physicist called Linus Paulings from the
NP> same region of the earth as the writer of Linux, and his name
NP> was pronounced "line us".

I know that, and also that Charlie Brown's little brother Linus was
called line-us, but I have been told that Linus Torvald calls himself
Linnus (not that it has anythign to do with how you pronounce Linux,
a totally invented word). I worked with a Dane named Lief who insisted
he was Leaf. I assumed he had a mental problem and continued to call
him Lief, just as I continue to give Linux it's correct Earthly
pronunciation (line-ux), bit Linnucks is good for a laugh on Splong,
and that's what Lief's about... (or perhaps what leaf's about).

NP> Fucking stupid yanks that think they own the whole world and
NP> are always right.

As my old father used to say: Thought thought he farted but he shit
himself.

> Sadly, we seem to have lost that genius, and Linux (pronounced
> Linnicks) has the least genius of all.

NP> Why keep perpetuating their idiocy ?

Isn't this planet Splong where *everyone* is crazy? You keep
forgetting that we were kidnapped by the Space Gypsies nack in 1970.
This is planet Splong. I mean, would John Howard be Prime Minister on
Earth? Would the president of the United States be a fuckwit?

This is Splong! Get with the program, Niels (Neels, Niles, I don't
care).

Regards,
Bob
