Well, I have not read the entire bible.  I have read up to Isiah and I
have read from Matthew to John.

Now, a while ago I decided that I wanted to read the entire bible so
that I could find out if I really wanted to accept all the things that
were told to me when I attended church.

I figured that I would decide for myself whether or not the things that
they said were true, because if they were true, I had better start
practicing the things that they say or else I might go to "hell!"

Now, I found out that the "God" guy that the people at my church talked
about actually had a name.  I learned that he was a pretty important
guy.

Now I can't see what I should write.

I was told to worship god because if I did not worship god then I would
go to hell.  Or it could have been to believe in Jesus.

In the Old Testament, this "God" guy told everyone that if they did not
follow his commands, then they would all have totally awful lives and
that he would kill their family etc.  But what people at Church told me
is that I would go to hell (or perhaps this is what I ascertained).
Now, wait a second, this "God" guy, who is the basis of everything that
Jesus taught (or something like that) never mentioned anything about
"heaven" or "hell."  I did not read anything about
heaven or hell in
the old testament.  If people did not follow God in the old testament,
then they would go down to the grave, meaning that they would die.
Nobody ever said anything about heaven or hell.  (I'm pretty tired now,
so this is hard to write).

I read the "gospels."  Now, I don't understand it all, so I guess I
won't say anything.  Now, wait a second, Jesus talks about the "Kingdom
of Heaven" all the time, BUT WAIT A SECOND, HE NEVER SAYS ANYTHING
ABOUT IT BEING SOMEWHERE THAT YOU GO WHEN YOU DIE!

Jesus speaks of the afterlife once in his story of Lazarus.  BUT WAIT A
SECOND, HE SPEAKS ABOUT THE RICH MAN GOING TO 'HADES!' THE GREEK
AFTERLIFE! WAIT A SECOND!!!!! And Lazarus goes to "Abraham's Bosom."
Jesus says nothing about Heaven or Hell here.  (But the story is scary
nonetheless)

Ok, I was also taught that Christianity is based on the bible.  I also
believe that if it's not in the bible, it is not in Christianity.  The
bible is like the basis of Christianity.  "The rule book."
Ok, I can't remember what I was trying to say so I'm going to bed.
