subject: Icom IC-290H All-Mode, Mic Question

RW> switched it to 32 tones with BCD switch... I do have a
RW> bunch of tunable generators that were a club project from 15
RW> years ago... Pay the shipping and I'll send you a couple.
RW> You can tune them to whatever tone you need and switch
RW> between them.
Done! Send an address Email/Netmail and I'll forward you the money to
cover your expenses. And thanks much! I have a couple other radios also that
will end up needing tone injection.
RW> That special mic would cost you $50 bucks or more too...
RW> I've got a couple of Icom's with those mics on them. Their
RW> not cheap...
The mic... it does DTMF or some method of CTCSS? We're beginning to
think he did not understand correctly about it, as (you?) pointed out that
PL's had to be added later in audio processing than a mic would allow...?
