Hello Alex!

17 May 04 23:54, you wrote to me:

Do you think it doesnt have it roots in the recent overturning of a ruling
Ward as IC made in a PC?

 AS> Too childish position for the superior body from my point of view.

 AS> Well, let us see whether will new IC and ZCC have a real weight over

I ask you to consider this..

The Issue is this, you all see..

Zones 1,3,4,5,6

As Zones with total combined sysops, each zone with its own ZC, whose
"head counts" dont even come close to the head count in your own
zone, the numbers game being played is that you as one single zone comprise
90 to 95% of the total nodelist. How can the ZC's of those 5 real small
zones have voting abilities that can potentially overturn the lone vote of
your ZC who has the most sysops underneath him?

Ward isnt seeing himself as one ZC among 5 other equals, he wants to assert
himself with more importance because his zone has the most sysops.

If I may liken the ZCC to the United Nations, each member state with one
vote, how would you feel if a member state had more or less votes than
other member state simply because of the population counts of one member
state over another? If the UN was like that, well China and India would
have control with only their interests at heart.

Well if you read Wards edict, for lack of a better word, he renders the ZCC
a useless body.

For everything the ZCC as a voting body could ever vote on, he broke the
percentages in his edict like so:

Total Possible Vote = 100

Z1 = 7
Z2 = 89
Z3 = 1
Z4 = 1
Z5 = 1
Z6 = 1

There is no way, the interests of the 5 other zones can ever be represented here.

Using the above table, can ZC2 ever lose a vote, could any other ZC win one
absent of ZC2 support?

The way it should be is one zone, one vote.

Ward is only a representative to a body that has representatives of other
zones in it, the head counts within each zone, combined or stand-alone is
irrelevant.

 AS> I'm afraid some unexpected changes may come soon as a result
 AS> of ZCC's unreasoned action. It is very easy to break, but it is very
 AS> hard to build up. And every stick is a double-adged thing, you know
 AS> :-/

and as the saying goes,

power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, by endowing Ward
with absolute power, accomplishes what?
