A 286 is certainly capable of _providing_ protected mode facilities. A 386 is
just a bit better at it. And DPMI is _a_ standard interface to the
processor's protected mode facilities.
So I was correct and NOT wrong. I was merely incomplete. In a relatively
unimportant manner.
