Seriously, DELPHI is a long way past what Nicholas Wirth created! If
there is a valid reason for NOT adding a new operator (such as your surmisal
that it may slow down the compilation speed drastically), I can live with
that as an answer. (I have used Borland's PASCALs for many years to develop
commercial engineering-type programs and I use a POWER() funtion frequently,
so obviously I am living with it!)
