On the 02/03/96, Bill waffled to Dieter..

 Hello Bill,

BG> At 9600 bps class speeds, -27dBm is in fact pretty atrocious.

BG> And this is even worse! Especially at 9600.

 BG> I'm amazed. Given Poe's comments, and your own results, that's a
BG> remarkably good line level in comparison with the rest.

 DM> -!- NETCOMM

 DM> 034 023

BG> Why the fuck are you connecting with other boards at 9600 with line
BG> levels of -33dBm, yet only 2400 to TML with just one miserable dBm
 BG> worse?

 It was Paul's Netcomm :-)

BG> I'd love to see the connect results from your end with both a V.32bis
BG> and a V.34 modem. They'd be extremely interesting indeed.

I have Alan's E7F, which I will do the same again.

I have added the E7F's readings - they do vary at the same rate.
I don't know what the %q refers to in the E7F, but in the SE9600
it referred to the line quality, from 0 to 6, with 6 being worst.
