Does it? Modern O-ring chains are sealed within those rollers. It is only
the outer surfaces of the chain that get lubricated.

"Are disapperaing..."? I haven't owned a chain driven motorcycle
since the 70's - I've puchased 4 since 1980 (still got 2 of them). Shafts
have been around for a long time.
