No, I would differ with you.  Fido has an interesting history, and to
dilute or deny it in favor of political correctness isn't an aqpproach that
I favor.

There is nothing wrong with mentioning the beginnings of Fidonet, the fact
that part of the beginning was in Maryland and it wasn't beond the USA is
no more damaging than mentioning the method and date that Zones started and
Europe had its own zone and starting point.

History shouldn't be obfuscated simply to minimize the risk that someone
will take it wrong way.
