Could well be the case, I suppose.  Given the amount of negotiation data
which is being sent back and forth, the actual time between the first tones
and the connect string is relatively short.  Might piss off the AfterConn
interrogation and see if I can put together some approximate times.

At last count, I've now made 45 calls to Paul without error.  Still not
100% conclusive, but I'm now almsot convinced the problem has been solved.

Not really, as it's not so much that the old ROMs are fucked, but just that
the new ones are heaps better.  There IS a differene, you know.  :)
