Have you ever given me some ideas! My older daughter's Olds had a problem
last Summer, 'something' blew the fuse for the dome light. After a week's
worth of hunting down, I found a dime had bounced from her coin tray
(ashtray) into the lighter socket and that's what kept blowing the fuse.
Got the lights working again, but never placed any connection to the
instruments. Rode with her last week and noticed the tach was WAY off and
the speedometer was happily bouncing up and down with the road bumps.
Wonder if something there damaged the instrument computer... hmmm...
Good luck... M.
