Note, this is across a P-P.  The machine does not show itself when 
booting W2K, but is OK on OS/2 and W98SE.

It doesn't corrupt it, it just turns it off.  You can turn it back on. 
Anyway, I do use BM on a laptop where life is simpler, but not on a 
desktop, currently Acronis OS Selector.
