PK> end of August. This will be our first time there in the early
PK> summer. Last
PK> year we left one day early due to the hurricane that was off the
PK> coast (closed
PK> the beaches down). As for t-storms, I thought it rained in Florida
PK> every
PK> day about 4pm anyway! :)
Well, it rains at 4pm MOST days - - It likes to throw curves and change the
time every so often to "surprise" us! :) (On the West side of town it
usually hits at 6pm. Downtown, around 5pm *grin*) I've seen lots of heavy
rainbursts just hit out of the blue in the middle of the day! I love it!
PK> DH> Back on-topic - - I'm trying to find someone who does beadmaking
PK> DH> who can tell me what a "Natasha" bead is, and how to make it??
PK>
PK> Hope you can find someone who can help with this. I don't bead. I
PK> almost done with my Bargello quilt top though! Borders need to be
PK> and put on it and then it will be ready to be layered and quilted. I
PK> hung the top (sans borders) up on the wall yesterday and gasp
PK> everytime
PK> I go by it. It is gorgeous!!
Finally found a description of the beads - turns out to be something I
already know anyway. Someone just put a new name to it.
My mom is the quiltmaker in the family, and she is working on a quilt for me
at the moment. We handpainted the quiltblocks with butterfly and flower
motifs - very colorful - and she's making the border a beautiful Kelly green!
She's got it all put together, just doing the final overstitching now. (She
is a VERY talented lady!) I admire anyone who can do such painstaking work -
with SO MUCH fabric!!
I wish I could see yours - it really sounds beautiful!
I've heard of Bargello, though I'm not really familiar with it. Seems to me
it is one of the more complicated types of stitching, isn't it?
What is your motif?
