| subject: | 4 Questions about PM and TCP/IP boo |
-=> Peter Schuller spake unto All, saying <=- PS> 5) What's your opinion of "TCP/IP Programming for OS/2 WARP"? Good? PS> C++ compatible? Covers most of the TCP/IP aspects? Based on APIs? Do you mean "TCP/IP Programming for OS/2" by Steve Gutz? If so, I just started reading this book. It's a little too advanced for me, but that's OK and it should be decent for someone that knows their stuff. It wastes too much time on PM crap, though, (it's subtitled "with applications for presentation manager") whereas I just want to write text mode apps. It could also use a good reference section. Having said all that, it's the only book I've seen that really covers this stuff and, yes, it's C++ oriented (and comes with a disk that contains the source for the classes built in the book). ...
