Sure, but I do want ot try this little idea out and see what it does.
The deal for the rig is almost `in the bag',just a few more bits to iron
t.
JE> You going to find that you'll need a WHOLE LOT more capacity down
 JE> frequency!
Well I like to tinker so it may be fun to see if it will work and hgow much
RG-58 I need to make it work at all.
JE>>> Can you operate 20m CW up there? If so, name off a freq and

 >> Nope. Restricted to 80 and 160m until I get 12wpm cw.
 >> Want to try 80m or 160?

 JE> maybe around 3725kHz? How about 7:30CST?
We can try... but isn't 3725 below your voice window?
I thought you couldn't come below 3750 on voice, that it was all cw below
there only.

I see. I thought it was a choke that was similiar to a resistor in
dimensions,
what you have sounds like a torroid choke.

you're

Yep. I'm resonant at 3700 and 1855 so now need for the tuner.
I use it rearley dpending where I dial,so it only gets used when I need it.
The 530 is so forgiving with the tubes and SWR... ;-)
