But if you got a lower price because you were purchasing an UPGRADE to
software you are already running it is illegal to re-sell that original
software. For instance I run a WildCat BBS. I have versions 3.8, 3.9,
4.0, 4.1, 4.2 and 5.0. All the disks came with a warning that it is
illegal to sell the older version once you purchase the upgrade to a
newer version. The ONLY way you have a LEGAL right to sell the older
version is if you buy the COMPLETE new version rather than a cheaper
upgrade.
