JdBP> Check that your TOOLS.INI doesn't have daft rules in it.
Well, I searched all my hard disks, and there was only the one tools.ini,
and it was part of MASM for DOS. I renamed that anyway, and it still had
the problem. However, I had found a "workaround" anyway. The
NMAKE.EXE that comes with toolkit 2.0 comes up with that error message, but
the NMAKE.EXE that comes with C600 doesn't have the problem. So I just
swapped the order in the path. It would be nice to "know" that
I'm using a 32-bit program though. :-) BFN. Paul.
