For C++ development I would not recommend SO> less than a 486/100 (better a Pentium/133) and at least 20 MB of RAM. I don't know what YOU'RE doing, but I _only_ do C++ development, and my dx2/66 has always been more than adequate for EMX in this situation. It often outperformed the P90 (32MB) that I had at work that ran MSVC (under NT, mind you). The first compile would be slow, but I had emxload keeping the compiler in memory and the next compile would be much faster.
