-=> Quoting Javier Kohen to Darin Mcbride
DM> A function that, in version 1, needed maybe 10 lines, but as features
DM> were added, in version 5 it's now 5000 lines? ;-)
JK> More likely that you need a code restructuration... ;-)
Yes - but when money's involved, time often isn't.
DM> When I'm debugging, I often need:
DM> char szBuf[128];
DM> sprintf(szBuf, "...", ...);
DM> WinMessageBox(HWND_DESKTOP, szBuf, "function name", MB_OK, ...)
JK> Doens't assert() work for you?
Yes - but not in debugging cases. assert() is used to tell me I'm not
receiving what I expected. The above is used to tell me what it is I'm not
expecting... and should be. ;-)
... If I didn't know any better, I'd be happy right now.
