Hey Geo...you're asking a Java guy....for me it's a relevant JDK + a screen
drawing toolkit required by the JDK.

But others like to talk to the metal so.....then your app comes with it's
own reqs i.e. they all need an underlying drawing thing (e.g. X) but then
do it for KDE then you req KDE/QT, do it for GNOME then you need 
etc.etc.etc.

If you simply do it fo X & then do all the drawing yourself then X
itself is the sole req.
