Wrong - that's why I had an ellipsis at the end of the quote;  with
"\V0", you get *either* DCE or DTE rate, depending on other NVR
params.  With "\V1", you also get additional information -
"/REL" for a reliable connection using other defaults, play with
one or two more AT commands and you can get accurate EC and compression
details added to the CONNECT string.

"\V2" and upwards is for even more "fun".

If it's the same modem David used, then if David could supply those details..

Yes .. it's the most recent EPROM.

So it's a new datapump, but as we've already seen with both Paul's and my
modem, having the same datapump and EPROM doesn't mean the output of those
commands will be 100% identical.

To be honest, I haven't seen any problems solved by disabling this.
