You really never learned how to do this right, did you? :-)
I did a lot of playing around for the first few years of Warp 4, but
somewhere I am guessing, around 97, I installed it, and that was the
last time I had to do it. Every PC, just copied the existing system
over to the new machine, all the way up to a 1.8P4 Asus MB. Fiddling
around? That's for people who don't know what they are doing.......
This afternoon, I took that 9 year old install and copied it from the
CD to my 3G Intel MB, added an Intel NIC, and its running just fine.
Not sure why you have had so much trouble with it. No need to
reinstall each time you move to new hardware.

The topic is NOT eCS, its OS/2 Warp v4.
I bought eCS 1.0. It was a piece of crap. the installer was broken,
LVM was screwed up, and frankly, just nothing but eye candy, but hey,
if I throw another $150 their way, I can have all the stuff I already
paid $150 for, long ago..... No thanks.
