Really? assemblers are there because you are doing low-level stuff.
If you are doing things to records, maybe you should get a pascal compiler?

I think there's a fair amunt of precedent that when it comes to software
just about anything can be claimed by anyone. However, recently a British
judge ruled that software has to work if the supplier does not want to
be sued for damage!

Unfortunately, there is no requirement to be nice to be called an assembler.
I cannot see this changing in the forseable future. Let me know if I'm wrong.
