-> A few seconds. It depends upon the number of messages and the size -> of the message base. This is as long as the PC I run it on has the -> files stored on a local drive, not a network drive. I have a Windows -> 2000 server that holds all of PCBoard's files and message base. I -> run tossing jobs on the server. They run very quick there. Once in -> awhile I will kick the batch jpb off manually from a workstation and -> then tossing occurs across the network. That takes longer on some -> echoes with very large message bases, where I keep a year's worth of -> messages. How long are you keeping your messages and do you run a -> regular job to purge them down to something manageable ? My XP and Windows Server 2003 Release 2 have 512 megabyte of memory and I am using the current version of Tame with all the current Service packs and fixes installed on both machines. I am using Pcboard Version 15.3. ISome of the message bases only have 300 to 2,000 messages and I tried increasing the block in the pcbsetup but that did not really make any difference. I am using the standard install of XP so I have been messing around with this one problem for the past three weeks, and I am not really making any progress with it. So I am trying to figure out what is different with the system configuration between your machine machine and mine and see if I can figure out what is causing the problem..
