On the subject of graphics drivers of the Borland flavour.

No I believe the graphics library knows how to detect (some)
graphics hardware and makes a choice which BGI to load. if you look
at the sample code for "detectgraph" you'll see an example of this.
of course if you want to load a particular driver (or any 3rd party
driver) you must specify it. initgraph (which links the driver)
knows the name of some BGI files (those ones that come with the
compiler)... Enough! I'm starting to waffle. %)
