I have no problem with that. I have no problem with distributors packaging & distributing fixes (it's what a distributor does). I have a problem with expecting distrbutors to do the fixes to someone elses software &/or copping the blame for it. If there's problem in product x & it runs on linux then it's a linux vulnerability. If the same product runs on windows & has the same hole then it's the product's problem.
