Sorry, but - while I agree whith your other considerations - I do not
find this one true.
I wrote many MDI applications for Windows, and I always found it really
easy to manage the child windows, whilst I have to do a lot of subclassing
to have my os/2 MDI applications working. Perhaps, I never found the "king's
way" to MDI applications in OS/2, but - if I'm not getting me wrong - there
are nothing in OS/2 such as windows' WM_MDICREATE. Sure, windows MDI are
easy to use and clumsy - or impossible - to modify. In OS/2 you have to do
all the stuff by yourself. So it' s surely more elastic, but harder also.
