Take a real linux vuln e.g: http://lwn.net/Articles/71682/ The people who need to fix the hole are the linux kernel people who then pass the fix onto the various distributions who then distribute it. You will note that the advisory comes from http://www.kernel.org/. I expect a number of announcements from various distributors as & when they pacakge up the fix for their specific distribution. > It's also interesting that now you are claiming that all > vulnerabilities in software running on linux count as linux problems. No I'm not. I was being sarcastic. I know that's a bit of a long word & even a difficult concept for you but I reckon that Paul can grasp the concept. > This is different from what you were claiming earlier and just as > ridiculous. > No it's the same, just written with sarcasm. In future I'll try & remember to mark up such comments with comment if that would help with your comprehension problems. However you are correct that "If there's problem in product x & it runs on linux then it's a linux vulnerability " is ridiculous however that is the platform on which you are standing.
